As usual this time of the year, Stelyana and I attended Mavenir’s 2-day analyst event to take the pulse of the ambitious U.S. telecom software champion, and once again, we were not disappointed. Every year, Mavenir fires on all cylinders—open RAN, messaging, IMS, packet core, fraud and security, and digital enablement—and manages to acquire new customers in each of its business units. Relying on its current $1B investment raised since 2017, the company’s confidence remains intact, rooted in its solid track record of continuously reinventing itself to successfully achieve its goals. At the event, President & CEO Pardeep Kohli presented a realistic business plan backed by a solid open RAN 4-year revenue forecast that will deliver significant returns by 2027. While open RAN gets most of the attention, it’s worth reminding that messaging and IMS are the company’s stable recurring revenue foundation. Open RAN is the next big thing and Mavenir’s shareholders truly understand that, and like in the past, are in for the long run. At this point, Mavenir is the only U.S.-born telecom software challenger, innovator, and pure play on a global telecom scale.
During the two busy days at the event, Mavenir provided plenty of ammunition to prove the skeptics and other detractors of the company are all wrong. For us at TÉRAL RESEARCH, it was music to our ears: Mavenir continues to innovate, disrupt, and win customers worldwide. In fact, while working on specific projects in 3Q24, we unexpectedly found Mavenir in many places around the globe but due to NDAs in place, we cannot reveal the deals.
