In April, Stelyana had the pleasure of attending Oracle’s Applications & Industries Analyst Summit, held in Oracle Conference Center, Redwood Shores, California. Day 1 of the event was dedicated to the executive strategy update and as anticipated, AI took center stage. Oracle executives provided a comprehensive update about where Generative AI fits in its Fusion Data Intelligence Platform and its applications that include enterprise resource planning (ERP), enterprise performance management (EPM), supply chain management and manufacturing (SCM), human capital management (HCM), and customer experience (CX). We were assured that all customers of Oracle Fusion get AI as part of the platform updates and can take advantage of the new technology because GenAI is an embedded feature in each of the applications. And because Oracle is the database company, its AI models, built entirely on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), can connect multiple data sources from the different systems the customer has (finance, supply chain, etc.) to retrieve the right information and provide meaningful “grounded in facts” answers.
Oracle serves a wide variety of industry verticals, like financial services, healthcare, communications, construction, retail, and others, so Day 2 of the analyst event featured a series of breakout sessions. Stelyana attended the Oracle Communications one to receive a fresh update about Oracle’s 5G core control plane, billing and charging, digital BSS, and automation and assurance business strategy—all this with a specific focus on communications service providers (CSPs).
