Nokia CUG26: 5G SA Core Strength, Mobile Core Early Access & AI-Enhanced 5G Edge UPF

Nokia's 32nd Core User Group (CUG26), held in Munich in May 2026, was the largest in the event's history with 500 attendees representing 89 CSPs across 51 countries. The event centered on a single strategic vision: shifting the core network from a passive connectivity pipe to an AI-native intelligence fabric Nokia calls "Connecting Intelligence." The turnout reflects Nokia's unique strength in both mobile and fixed networks — a footprint that gives its UDM platform a clear edge among CSPs managing both FTTH and mobile infrastructure under one unified subscriber management platform.
